Glory to God in the High Street

And fair trade for His people on earth. As part of St Mary's vision to become a 'Church at the Heart of the Community - for the whole community' we have recently opened a shop. @ st marys is at number 11 High Street, Wendover just near the pelican crossing.

Take a peek through the window and you will see the shelves packed with quality products from around the globe, including an extensive range of dried foodstuffs from Traidcraft, together with many other gift items, all produced through fairly traded processes which can help people work their way out of poverty. You will also be able to buy cards and other gift items, each with a Christian emphasis. Make sure you come and have a browse through our range of gifts, cards and much more!

Alongside the shop, you will also be able to gain information on all the churchs' activities in Wendover. The Churches Together Office is also re-located to @ st marys, to be run alongside the St Mary's administration.

We hope that everyone in Wendover, whether resident or visitors, will find @ st marys a positive addition to the High Street and we look forward to welcoming you through our doors.

Did you know? - Information about the PCC

The PCC has to carry out a mixture of spiritual, legal, financial, pastoral and missionary functions and that it cooperates with the priest in the whole mission of the church. The PCC has a standing committee, which is there to transact business between the PCC meetings. Members of the Electoral Roll are entitled to see the approved minutes of each PCC meeting. The PCC and Standing Committee meet on the following dates in 2006:

PCC - 18 January, 15 March, 19 March Annual Parochial Church Meeting, 17 May, 5 July, 13 September, 15 November.

Standing Committee - 2 March, 4 May, 22 June, 4 September, 2 November.

Home Groups @ st marys

St. Mary's run a number of Home Groups, both during the day and on weekday evenings, meeting around the village. New members are always welcomed and if you are interested in joining a Home Group, please contact the church office or speak to a church warden at one of our services.
